Powers Cubs Win Third Game in Nine Days
The Powers Cubs defeated the Norway team in a dramatic 5 to 6 ten inning game at Powers last Sunday. Dement delivered a pivotal over the fence hit after Baily and Abbott sparked two runs, while Powers presented Dement with 7 five dollar bills and a Myrtle Point Enterprise subscription for hitting a fair ball over the fence. A similar four inning rematch the next day at Myrtle Point produced a two run swing, but Powers still triumphed on the Fourth with another five to six win.
