Bond election drives up city debt limit amid waterworks plan
The city moves toward a February 8 special election to raise bonded indebtedness for waterworks from 25000 to 50000 dollars to replace wooden pipes with iron or steel mains. If approved a further vote may be needed to finance about 12000 dollars of repairs and curb leaks.
