Drowned While Aiding Log Jam Break Near Lee
Jack Boone, cousin of Mrs. R Dement, drowned last Friday while aiding to break a log jam on the North Fork near Lee. He, with Jack McDonald and four others, were swept into swift water. two climbed a tree, two clung to a dog, and Boone, hampered by clothes, exhausted himself but could not reach shore. His body had not yet been recovered amid the strong current.
