Floods and high water from the freshet sweep the Willamette valley causing extensive damage along the valley from Roseburg to Myrtle Point. Homes, mills, dams, and rails are damaged while boats, logs, and livestock suffer losses. Rescue efforts and disrupted transport follow with crews facing hazardous conditions.

To License Osteopaths in Oregon
The legislature will be asked to pass a bill regulating osteopathy with a five member board appointed by the Governor. Licenses issued after exams in anatomy and other subjects require graduation from a recognized college or a diploma. Fee set at ten dollars and all practitioners must comply after March 1, 1907. Internal drug prescription and major surgery will be prohibited.
