Voters authorized 22 000 in waterworks bonds to replace leaky wooden pipes with iron, repair the reservoir, and build a new intake reservoir. Only tax payers on real property could vote, one woman participated, and weather kept turnout light. The city plans to market the bonds and begin installation before the dry season.
The Myrtle Point and Coquille boys clashed in a tight county contest with Myrtle Point securing the win after a held tie game. Referee Grover Brown ruled the victor based on the first two scores in the concluding period.
Miss Dora Bigelow and John N Gearheart were united in marriage at 9 o clock Wednesday morning February Ath at the bride’s sister’s home in Myrtle Point. Rev Thomas Barklow officiated. They plan a brief honeymoon to Bandon then settle on the groom’s ranch at Pleasant Hill. The bride, youngest daughter of I L Bigelow, has taught school and worked as a stenographer.
