He crossed the plains with his parents in 1852, settled near Corvallis, moved to Douglas County 1862 married Elizabeth Casebeer, had fifteen children. Survived by multiple daughters, sons, a brother and a sister, thirty nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral held at Church of the Brethren with Elder Thos Barklow and Rev F G Drake. burial at Norway Cemetery.

George W Miller was born May 20 1844 in Johnson County Missouri and died January 30 1917 at his home in Myrtle Point Coos County Oregon aged 72 years 8 months 10 days. He married Ducy A Taylor in 1869 in Henry County Missouri and had five sons who survived him. The family moved from Curry County to Marion Douglas and finally Myrtle Point about seven years ago. He was a member of the local community and family attended his late sickness and death.
