Breakwater to Resume Service January

Breakwater will depart San Francisco January 16 for a cycle of ten days of shore repairs and overhaul. Post maintenance the steamer can haul 50 to 60 tons more freight and reach about 14 miles per hour. Total overhaul costs are estimated at 20000 dollars. The crew will largely be the same as when operating Portland to Coos Bay.
