Hold up attempt by young Kansas City gang fails
At midnight four men led by Oscar Bridges attempted to rob an electric car near Independence. Bridges was arrested after a tussle with the motorman. three accomplices escaped. The gang, said to be the same that held up a Chicago and Alton train near Independence about a month earlier, included Eugene Ridgeway Ernest Ridgeway and Alexander Repine. All were under 23.
