Death of Richard Ramsey at Myrtle Point aged 75
Richard Ramsey aged about seventy five died at his East Myrtle Point home last Sunday due to age related infirmities. He had no known relatives in the country. Burial occurred Monday in Myrtle Point cemetery where his will was read at the grave. He left his property to P. C. Hatcher, a close friend who cared for him in recent months.

Big Family Reunion at W S Hall North Fork

Five Die In Auto Wreck Near Ponyslough Bridge
A late afternoon crash at Ponyslough bridge on Empire road killed five men and left two injured. The victims were J Bluford Davis and four companions from Marshfield and nearby areas. two passengers, George Wasson and Ivan Born, survived. Five Men Die After Car Fails Bridge Railing Plunges
On the right side of the bridge a car broke through the railing and plunged about twenty feet into water and mud. Geo Wasson and Born escaped partly free while others remained trapped. Wasson ran for help as doctors failed to revive the five men after they were held underwater.

Firs Amusement Park Opens Near Town
The Snyder Brothers near theiddle Fork road opened a grove amusement park called the Firs last Tuesday. A large crowd enjoyed a new steam circle swing and the park will operate Saturdays and Sundays through summer, with a plan to move the swing to town for the fair week.

Dancers from Myrtle Point and Coquille joined locals at a Myrtle Point Cow Testing Association dance held last Saturday night. Nash’s Orchestra played while about eighty tickets were sold. The event drew many spectators and attendees say the evening was enjoyable for all ages.

Eva Rookard Jenkins born July 23 1872 in California moved to Oregon as a child. She married Edward Jenkins December 22 1895 at Bridge Oregon died August 20 1914 at Myrtle Point aged 42. She leaves husband mother three sisters and a brother. Funeral held with services at home and Presbyterian church Bridge and Enchanted Prairie cemetery interment.
