Shipping Peaches in Carload Lots from Roseburg
The first Crawford peach carload left Roseburg Friday for Indianapolis with a second car headed to Chicago on Saturday. Earl Bros. of Chicago handle the peaches with Portland and other Pacific coast shipments daily. Douglas County pears lead Oregon this year with Medford price at 2.65 per box and Douglas County pears near Roseburg at 2.90 per box in Chicago.
