Nicholas Fish banker and son of Hamilton Fish died at Roosevelt hospital from a skull fracture after an assault in a beer hall. Detective Thomas Sharkey and two women, Libbie Sleight and Nellie Casey, were arrested. Sharkey admits trouble but denies striking Fish, claiming Fish provoked him and fell on the sidewalk. The coroner set bail at 10000 for Sharkey and 500 for each woman. Tom Caey said a woman Sharkey lived with provoked the incident.
