A celebration marks the first anniversary of the senior meals program at the YMCA with officials, a noon luncheon funded under the Older Americans Act, and programs before and after lunch. Members of the Multiple Sclerosis board met Thursday evening to arrange their annual garage sale on Wednesday September 17 and Thursday September 18 from 9 am to 7 pm. Break-in at Otis Hindbaugh home steals jewelry and coins
valuables valued about 1000 dollars taken Thursday night from a bedroom after a patio window was broken at 1703 Houser St. Police reports list thefts including a purse from Mary Boyce at Franklin School gym and a battery from Robert Newcomb’s pickup. Accidents: two-car collisions at Third Street and Iowa Avenue and at E Second and Orange streets. One driver, Dennis Black, charged with speeding.
