Iowa Weather and Crop Bulletin Summaries Weekly Conditions
Des Moines Iowa June 28 The weekly weather and crop bulletin for the week ending June 26 reports ideal corn and crop growth with unusually clean fields and strong soil. Early southern county corn stood knee high and may be laid by next week. Temperatures ran above normal with below normal rainfall but plenty of sunshine. Central counties saw light scattered showers over the last three days aiding dry conditions. Small grains and pasturage are doing well though rain is needed, while clover hay harvest begins and timothy yields appear light statewide. George M Chappel Station Director.
