Effective heroin test is issued to GIs in Vietnam
A new heroin detection test used for all U S troops leaving Vietnam proves highly effective at finding users. It is claimed to be 100 times more sensitive than older methods and detects heroin up to five days after use. The FRAT technique, developed by WRL, screens over 2500 urine samples daily and complements older methods in mass narcotics screening.
