Eleven Iowans died over the weekend in crashes drownings and an auto accident. Victims include Allen Rideout Bernard Staebell Howard Wallace Alvin Wein kaud James Griswold and his wife Mrs. Griswold plus Buy Haynes George Livers Donald Schalls and others. The Cresco air crash killed Rideout Staebell and Wein kaund. the Grisswolds drowned while swimming in the Skunk River. Livers died in a Rembrandt auto crash. Miss Margaret Howe aged 73 of 312 East Eighth street Muscatine died at Her shey hospital after a weeklong illness from pneumonia and complications. Born February 26 1860 in West Freedom Pennsylvania she moved to Muscatine in 1868 with grandparents and lived here most of her life. Survived by brother Merrill Howe and sisters Emma Gertrude and Helen Howe all of Muscatine. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

West Liberty man to serve 60 days in jail for assault
George Townsend of West Liberty will serve 60 days in the county jail and a grand jury in September will continue investigation of his attack on Mayor Ralph Evans last week.
