Hollywood writers and their self-made epitaphs
An opinion piece portrays Hollywood screenwriters as overpaid, trapped by studio control, chasing luxury while their craft is bent by bosses and rewrites. It recalls Faulkner, Parker, Fitzgerald, and Hellinger, notes the Garden of Allah bohemia, and recounts writers crushed by the blacklist and industry power. The piece ends with the claim that most writers go to Hollywood to write their own epitaphs.

Success Can Be Your Undoing for PSA Route
The Los Angeles to San Francisco air corridor dominates U S air travel with PSA leading the LASF schedule. PSA carries over half the 7 million annual passengers on the route, but posted a $2.5 million loss in Q1 1975. The carrier’s expansion into hotels and jumbo L-1011 orders worsened finances as demand fell, forcing grounding of two TriStars and a push to defer payments.

Hair changes after pregnancy puzzle patient asks Thosteson
A reader reports her naturally curly hair becoming limp and straight after each birth, with curls returning later. The doctor explains hair grows in cycles, pregnancy lengthens the growing phase, followed by a longer resting phase after delivery, causing delayed regrowth and temporary texture changes. Anesthesia may also influence hair changes.
