Parking Lot Priced With Odd Two-Sided Entrance
In Phoenix a downtown parking lot charges drivers who use the busy street entrance nothing while those entering from the quieter side pay 30 cents for a half block. The design appears aimed at testing driver willingness to pay or avoid the longer walk. This odd pricing spans half a city block between a busy and a quieter street.

Fed Cattle Prices Show Stability This Year
Iowa State University economist Gene Futrell says fed cattle prices have been steady this year with late May levels seen as a benchmark. He notes Choice steer prices at Chicago have ranged 27 to 28 dollars per hundredweight since mid February, while Iowa direct sales ran 25.50 to 27.25. Futrell predicts only modest changes through summer as marketings rise slightly and feeder placements grow, keeping beef supplies in balance. Prices for feeder cattle rose late last winter due to strong demand, and Futrell warns that fall costs to cover feeding may require 26 to 27 dollars for Choice steers.
