Ray Earl Ray captured in Brushy Mountain escape hunt
James Earl Ray, the assassin of Martin Luther King Jr., was captured by bloodhound teams Sandy and Little Red after a 3 mile, 3 hour chase in Brushy Mountain Tennessee. He offered no resistance, was muddy and exhausted, and sent a first greeting, I feel good, upon capture. Two fellow escapees remain at large, while others were recaptured. Ray is back in administrative segregation awaiting a hearing on the escape.
