About 60 shooters from Illinois Iowa and Minnesota began the Iowa State Outdoor Pistol Shoot at the Wilton Rifle Club. The event runs through Sunday with entries from Chicago and Rock Island Arsenal. Competitors vie in marksman sharpshooter expert and master firing 90 rounds with three guns. The winner is state champion and top five qualify for the state team to nationals.
