FBI probes Iowa rail blast linked to dynamiting far from bridge
AP report from Manning notes the Milwaukee Road line was damaged by an explosion that undermined the roadbed near Nishnabotna River crossing. An FBI agent said evidence indicated dynamiting occurred about 700 feet from the bridge, nearly causing a derailment as the engine units crossed the break.
