Firemen Fight Abandoned Shed Blaze Twice Near Water Street
Three alarms were sent in for an old abandoned shed on the waterfront near Geen Street, burning to the ground after rekindling twice. The structure, once owned by Mira Hershey Lumber, had been idle for years and attracted hobos. Investigators suspect a cigarette or match caused the blaze while a sawdust pile fueled renewed flames.
