Leavenworth Kansas June 10 The body of Carrie Nation the Kansas anti saloon worker who died last night of paresis was taken to Kansas City Kansas by Mrs M D Moore and Mrs George Schubert. The funeral will be at the Moore home and burial will be in Richmond Missouri where her parents are buried. Born 1846 in Kentucky her maiden name was Carrie Moore. She devoted her life to suppressing liquor after early life tragedy and later settled in Kansas after marrying David Nation. Her saloon smashing began in Wichita in 1900 with arrests and multiple raids followed in Enterprise and other towns. She later lectured and edited the Smasher Mail.
