Improvements At City Airport Progress In 1968 Pace
City airport upgrades continue to match rising aircraft use for business and pleasure. improvements last year included resurfacing 600 feet of the east west runway, plans to extend the north south runway by 2600 feet, and adding 2000 feet to the east west runway. A 74 by 60 foot hangar and a new ramp were built, with insulation and heating. A cyclone fence was installed between the admin building and aircraft parking. The airport is run by a five member commission including Charles Bud Swick Jack Thatcher Robert Freyermuth Leo Grosjean and C K Fisher.
