Warm weather allows Iowa corn drying to resume

Warmer conditions let many Iowa grain elevators restart corn drying as fuel supplies improve. Robert Skinner of Des Moines, executive vice president of the Iowa Grain and Feed Association, said above 10 degrees for a spell eased fuel shortages and prompted operators to resume drying after shortages in fuel oil and propane halted the process. Officials last week estimated about 60 million bushels of corn were awaiting drying.
