The Continental Construction company Kansas City Mo filed new right of way easements with County Recorder G C Parks. The group includes 29 properties in Fruitland Seventy Six Cedar and Orono townships as rights for a Texas to Chicago natural gas line crossing the Mississippi near Muscatine. Easements show plans to cross near the city water and electric plant with construction to follow.

Mrs. Eleanore Kallenberger, 53, died at her home 1301 Oregon street at 1 12 this morning after an eight year illness. Born March 18 1877 in Fruitland township she spent her life in the area. She married Casper Kallenberger November 17 1894. Surviving are seven children, three brothers and two grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 1 30 Wednesday at Wittich Funeral Home and 2 o clock at Musserville Methodist Episcopal Church. Burial in Island cemetery.

10 Degree Temperature Drop Reported in Iowa
A 10 degree fall in temperatures occurred over 24 hours from Sunday 7 am to Monday 7 am, with the mercury dropping from 32 to 22 above. A north wind amplified the drop as the forecast called for partly cloudy skies and slightly colder weather in northwest Iowa. The river level stood at 2.7 this morning, up 0.1.
