Shrine officers also include Ernest Moore vice president W F Siemers secretary Fred Johnston treasurer Carl Kautz and E W Rosenthal trustees. Cornucopia officers named were E C Rosenmund vice president W R Ashford secretary and F W Allen treasurer. In the bridge tournament at the temple after the dinner and election the Shrine club won 76 274 to 59 041 with Dr F W Englund high scorer 4 444. Will Umlandt added 4 087 while Rolla B Herr led Shrine players.

Two Men Rescued After Yukon Wilds Ordeal
Two months lost in the Yukon wilderness were saved by an airplane. Bob Marten, a Wrangell prospector, and Emil Kading, an airplane mechanic, were flown to White Horse, YT, after their pilot E J A Burke died from exposure when the plane failed. Everett Wasson and Joe Walsh located their signal fire after multiple flights, bringing them to safety 40 miles from their wreck.

Washington AP The senate agriculture committee formed a three member sub committee to study Capper resolution using 40 million bushels of grain from the stabilization corporation for unemployed relief. Legge warned such distribution could lower prices unless the board buys back much of the surplus, noting domestic price is about 20 cents above world price.

Four Die When Train Hits Car At Dakota City Crossing
Four men died when a Chicago, Burlington and Quincy passenger train struck their car at a grade crossing on the west edge of Dakota City Nebraska. Victims were Earl Sizemore Otis Sizemore J F Daniels and Leslie Holcomb. The car was hurled about 75 feet and demolished. Earl Sizemore died later at St Vincent's hospital.
