Calvary Baptist King's Daughters Have Meeting
The King's Daughters class of Calvary Baptist Church met Tuesday at 1 30 pm. President Ethel Sissel opened and the 103rd Psalm was read. Gifts were voted for Christmas donations and a program of Bible quizes followed. The next meeting will be December 12 at Mrs Jeff Fisher's home with a 50 cent gift exchange. Lunch for 15 was served by hostesses Ella Rummells and Helen Mucha. Mrs Gotaas was a guest.

Omicron Group Honors Administrators Dinner at Muscatine
The Delta Gamma Omicron chapter hosted 56 members and guests for the annual school administrators dinner at Hotel Muscatine on Monday evening. Dr. Phil E. Connell of the State University of Iowa spoke on SUI Present and Future, noting enrollment growth and projected needed facilities through the mid 70s while stressing the university’s obligation to meet individual student needs.

GOP Women Honor County Recorder at Installation Luncheon Muscatine
Muscatine Council of Republican Women held a 1 pm luncheon at Hotel Muscatine to honor county recorder Lucile Freybler ahead of her year end retirement. Officers installed by Mrs Shirley Drake were Dorothy Nelson president Loretta Lee vice president Sally Barnum secretary and Melba Goddard treasurer. Neva Rex retiring president presided and thanked volunteers. Rex presented a gift to Freybler. Drake awarded Freybler for 14 years service as county recorder.
