Mayor I Lester chaired a meeting of A Greater Murray League at City Hall to discuss band concerts this summer. Renewed determination and further talks with businessmen suggest concerts will begin June 16. An enthusiastic meeting is expected on June 7 with Murray boosters optimistic about the city’s cultural development.

Young Boy Charles Hauser 16 Dies Suddenly in Murray

Funeral services held for Glen Charles Hauser 16 son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hquier in Mill Creek Ward Chapel Murray following a Thursday evening death. He had rheumatic heart trouble but had recently seemed to improve after months in hospital. Survived by parents three brothers and one sister. Speakers included Bishop A M Cornwall John M Park Edward M Reynearson and Tawis Boyle. Music by a mixed quartet and Vaughan Clayton violin. Large crowd attended the service and flowers surrounded the grave at Mill Creek Cemetery.

Will Make Extended Trip To England

Mr and Mrs John M Rowell of WU Ave depart Saturday for New York to sail on the S S Leviathan June 16 for a three month trip to England. It is their first visit back to their homeland in 23 years, with plans to visit friends and see many places of interest while in England. Mrs Rowell seeks health benefits from the journey. The Mil Creek Dairy, operated by Mr Rowell, will be left in the care of his two sons and their sister Mrs Carstensen of Salt Lake City will manage the home. Their daughters Mrs Rose Linke and Miss Edna Bierhert with their children, both of Los Angeles, arrive in Murray Wednesday for a brief visit before departure.

Rose Show To Be Held In Murray

A rose show, the first of its kind in the Murray area, is planned by the Murray Flower Garden Club. It will occur Thursday in the First National Bank Building from 2 to 9 p m with public viewing. roses for exhibition should be brought to the bank between 10 and 12 a m.
