Kingston couple joins Murray City after wedding in Morgan

Jay Kingston brother of T Ray Kingston of Murray City Pharmacy married Kathryn Logan of Morgan Utah Tuesday morning in Morgan. The couple, longtime Morgan residents, will live in Murray City after September 11, with Jay joining his brother at the Murray City Pharmacy. Sewer Extension Five begins near Woolen Mills Blanket Factory

City Engineer T F McDonald says Mullins and Wheeler will start Sewer Extension Number Five along State Street near the Woolen Mills Blanket Factory on July 23. The project will run on both sides of State Street and provide service to the near completed factory, with local Murray City residents favored for jobs next week. The extension aims to improve the north section and should be completed in the near future.

Murray First Ward Chapel additions and new stake offices

Plans for Murray First Ward Chapel expansion near completion under Bishop Bringhurst include a 37 by 75 feet recreation and chapel complex with orchestra pit, stage, projection booth, seating for 490, new restrooms, kitchen, and ventilated ducts. A two-story stake office on West Murray features brick walls, Florentine sash windows, oak finishes, and a pipe organ planned for future installation. Estimated total cost 345,000 with completion targeted for September for recreation and chapel, two months later for the chapel proper.

County Delegates to Bingham Convention

Tom Christian Wallace Erickson and Pierce Swenson are the delegates chosen by the Salt Lake County Firemen to attend the State Convention of the Utah Firemen at Mogham August 6 7 and 8.
