Four Die In Small Plane Wreck Near Lebanon Indiana
Four persons perished when a small single engine plane crashed in a Clover field seven miles south of Lebanon Indiana. Victims identified as Robert A. Lahr 25 Lafayete flying instructor Clinton Ferguson 30 Battle Ground student pilot his wife Marcia Ferguson and his son Ronald Partridge eight. The crash occurred last night and the nose buried two feet in the ground. Lahr taught Ferguson flying lessons before both flew to Fort Wayne to attend a drill of the 163rd fighter squadron. The plane took off from Baer Field at Fort Wayne at 10 pm with fuel to midnight. State police reported the disappearance at 1 am. A watch stopped at 11:37 was found on Ferguson. Wreckage found this morning by Claude Armstrong 313 miles east of New Brunswick.
