Miss June Maxey became the bride of Eugene Henry in a 10 o clock Saturday ceremony at the First Presbyterian church. Dr. Robert B. Guthrie officiated the single ring rite as family members looked on. The bride wore white embroidered organdy over light green taffeta with a lacy hat and carried a white prayerbook adorned with orchids. Maid of honor Norma Lee Hess wore white organdy over light blue taffeta with a white hat and pink camellia corsage. Best man Arch Lee Blackard stood beside the groom. The couple, first daughter of Mr and Mrs Ralph Maxey and son of Mr and Mrs Frank Henry, plan to reside in Mt Vernon.

Miss Helen McMackin of Salem retired Librarian General of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution spoke at the Joel Pace Chapter Flag Day Breakfast at Robb's Coffee Shop on June 13. Station Wagon Flips on Waltonville Road
Mrs. Eugene Wells and her two children escaped with minor bruises when a station wagon she drove overturned after a collision on Waltonville road seven miles southwest of Mt. Vernon at 5:00 p m yesterday. Deputy Sheriff Russell Dalby said Mrs Wells was turning from the state highway into her driveway when another car struck the wagon. The vehicle rolled onto its side and was heavily damaged along with the other car.
