Funeral services for Pfc. Jack L. Johnson formerly of Mt. Vernon, a Marine from Elkhart Indiana, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Pulley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Van Horn officiating. Burial is in Sursa Cemetery. He was killed by enemy fire in South Vietnam on May 25 while serving with the Third Marine Division. He was born October 14 1948 in Mt. Vernon and attended Lincoln School and Elkhart High School. He is survived by his parents a brother a sister four nieces and nephews and grandparents. Military rites will be conducted by Marine Reserve Center St Louis. He was preceded in death by a sister.

Bahama police hold nine crew and passengers from a Constellation that landed on Grand Bahamas Island and resembled an aircraft involved in a raid on Port au Prince Haiti.
