Mr and Mrs Maurice Glover of 1112 Jones Street reported a son born at 1235 a m yesterday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital weighing eight pounds four ounces.

Man Sentenced to Penal Farm in Vandalia
Donald Hughes aged 24 was sentenced to six months in the state penal farm at Vandalia in circuit court. Judge B W Bovardi ordered the penal farm term and continued Hughes probation after ruling on a petition to suspend probation. Hughes had been placed on probation in September for burglary and larceny.
