The brother of Mt V resident Martin H Hass rock, nee Joe Hadgebrock, of this city, died at 3:00 PM today at his home. Services were held at herein church in St Peter this afternoon for the deceased, whose name appears in local records as a sister of Joe.
Mrs Minnie Mae Orsborn 76 of Fa 1 McLeansboro died at 1 30 a m Tuesday at Vickers Oral Hospital McLeansboro after a lingering illness Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 00 p m at the Gholton Chapel McLeansboro with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery She was born 1880 in Hamilton County and married Vernie Orsborn who preceded her Survivors include a brother H L Redfearn of Metropolis Ill
George W Henry of this city dies today. He is father to Loren Henry and Neal Henry of Vernon. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 am at Myers Chapel with burial at Bethel Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 pm Thursday. He was born in Hamilton county and married to Sadie Mann who preceded him. He is survived by a brother Ed Henry of Thompsonville Michigan.

A Northwest Side Goldblatt Bros. department store suffered a one million dollar blaze Tuesday night. About 400 shoppers and employees fled as flames rose 50 feet and the roof later collapsed. Five people were treated for smoke inhalation and bruises. no serious injuries reported. The fire started in the drapery area and spread rapidly in a one story brick building with no sprinkler system.

A car driven by 17 year old Bonnie resident Larry E. Gilbert lost control as it turned from the highway onto Main street striking the Bennett and Bennett store porch. Three porch posts were knocked down and the car front end damaged. Gilbert faced a charge of driving too fast for conditions and was to appear before Justice J. R. Thomas later today.
