She described soaking, dark room, and sun exposure methods to produce red pink blooms, and noted a white bloom from a separate branch kept cooler. Ballweg said many shrubs and fruit trees can be forced into bloom in winter with regular branch cutting, enabling fresh blooms all winter.

Three Perish in Indiana Tragedy
In Terre Haute Indiana a mother Mildred Scarbrough 29 and her two sons Larry Eugene 7 and Leonard Wayne 16 months died in a three room cabin fire on the Wabash river levee seven miles from Terre Haute. Father Harold Scarbrough discovered the blaze after returning from work at Commercial Solvents Corp and tried to reach the house but was repelled by flames. Daughters Catherine 11 and Sharon Rose 6 escaped and were found on the car running board. Fire destroyed the home and bodies were found in the bedroom after roof collapse.

Over 100 Jobless Claims Reported in Mt Vernon Office

Gunmen rob Rockford loan office for 500 dollars
In Rockford Illinois three gunmen posing as customers robbed the Viner and Shields Loan Company of 500 dollars yesterday.
