Farm machinery sold to Virgil and Urwin Martin. many locals noted births, visits, and school commencements with Prof Rosco Gilmore Scott delivering the address. The high school closing featured plays and a large turnout, with Brodhead’s team beating Sparks Quarry 11 to 4 and a double header 14 to 2 and 9 to 1.
