Mrs. Thomas J. Bigstaff, 56, wife of T. J. Bigstaff, died at her Paris pike home from Brights disease after a period of illness. She led civic work, was Baptist, survived by husband, two children James and Miss Alexine, and brother Leland Benton. Funeral at home with Rev. T Benton Hill and Rev. E L Southgate. burial Springfield Bath county. Lt Col Henry Denhardt to speak May 3 in city for Democratic governor nomination.

Public Auction Sells Two City Properties at Fair Prices
Yesterday Mr. Joe R. Miller purchased the Cockrell building on Main street from Special Commissioner M. C. Clay at the Court House door for 4650 dollars. Mr. John A. Judy bought a vacant lot on Maysville street facing 140 feet for 5900 dollars. Both parcels sold at fair prices.

Residence Burns of Matt Ford on Aaron's Run Turnpike
Fire destroyed the Ford residence on the Aaron's Run and Sideview turnpike and most contents. A smoke house and lumber shed were also burned along with other outbuildings. Estimated loss is about $5,000 above insurance. Neighbors express sympathy for Mr. Ford.
