Police report a gang producing bogus U S passports to admit hundreds of aliens. Michael Sumner of Windsor printing firm allegedly printed passports. others in Toronto and London faced forgery and investigation. A steel plate used for the certificates was seized and the plate recovered from the Thames river.
Bermuda September 27 The first railway on the islands is well advanced and trains are expected on the Somerset Hamilton branch in the early spring. The 24 mile road has cost British stockholders more than any similar short line, with land through some properties fetching up to 15000. The total right of way cost is estimated at 160000.
Lansing reports a drafting error in 1929 deer laws restricts camp permits to one deer per camp regardless of party size. Conservation Director Hogarth plans to seek clarification from the attorney general to restore the former two or more permits for larger camps.

The 1929 30 bowling season will open Saturday noon September 28 as the Mt Pleasant alleys over the Pontiac Oakland service station on North Main Street open to the public.
