The body of Seymour Dersnah was brought from Toledo Ohio and funeral services will be held at the Stinson chapel Tuesday at 10 a m. Dersnah born in Vernon township in 1894 was the youngest son of William and An Dersnah. He died at a Toledo hospital September 18 after a four year illness. He is survived by his wife two daughters Marline and Virginius two brothers Bernard E Dersnah of this city Eugene Dersnah of Bay City and one sister Mrs Elwood Vanderhof Kalamazoo.

W K Henderson operator of KWICH Shreveport known as the doggone man of radio faces a $2000 attorney fee suit in district supreme court. William J Jameson and Herbert Ward allege they defended Henderson before the federal radio commission on January 15 1929 when his license faced loss over profane attacks on chain stores. Henderson refused to pay more than $250 of a $2250 fee. he was acquitted by the commission and opposed to WDSU New Orleans bid for the 850 kilocycle wave length at his station.

Nine Buildings Destroyed In Sunday Blaze
Fire leveled nine farm buildings on the Bert Failing farm north of Alma along US-27. Loss estimated at 7000 dollars. No livestock burned though machinery grain and hay destroyed. Blaze started when a lantern toppled in the main barn. Firemen saved the house as traffic slowed and crowds watched the glow. Farm work was done by John M. Ressigne.

McBride Sentenced On Trapping Charge In Chippewa Township
John McBride, 65, of Chippewa township, pleaded guilty to trapping out of season and received 15 days in jail plus a $50 fine and $9.50 costs after a raid by county officers led to seizure of 100 gallons of mash, 88 pints of alleged beer, 10 muskrat hides, and 50 steel traps. Sheriff Schertel and game warden Fred Thomas led the raid. Further liquor law charges were noted. Jessie Bergey of Vernon township paid $13.75 in fines and costs for fishing with set lines after being arrested on Stephenson lake by Warden Thomas.

Home Robbery At 602 South College avenue
Thieves broke in through a basement window at the G. Myers residence on 602 South College avenue early Sunday evening and looted the house. They took watches a ring a mesh bag a revolver valuable papers a purse with three dollars and an oil stove a phonograph and school surveys. Sheriff Andrew Schertel launched an immediate investigation and suspected multiple offenders. The break in occurred over the weekend and was not found until Monday.

Planes To Take Hunters North From Detroit
A special huntsmen airplane service will soon help southern Michigan hunters extend trips to northern camps by two days. Volunteers Battle Marsh Fire in Wisconsin
A 600000 acre marsh blaze near Wisconsin Rapids drew 500 volunteers and National Guardsmen as it burned ground to inches deep and threatened several towns. Six farm buildings and a schoolhouse were lost before containment, with smoldering flames expected to linger until rain. No major injuries aside from smoke for a few firefighters. Fire damages Clare Theatre projection booth in Michigan
At Clare Michigan on September 22 a film burst into flames in the projection booth of the Ideal Theatre. The operator closed the booth door to contain the fire, destroying several reels. Smoke leaked into the auditorium but patrons stayed calm. The fire department extinguished the blaze. In Chicago on February 22, 31 year old Frank Sécidled rode 98 blocks on street cars seeking a place to jump into Lake Michigan. He jumped in but fled the cold water and called for help. Police dragged him out, he was examined and sent home.
