A five year summary from the Year Book of the Playground and Recreation Association of America shows nearly 122 million dollars spent in the United States and Canada for tennis golf waters sports competitive athletics organized playgrounds winter sports dramatics music and other recreations from 1924 to 1928. Last year’s outlay topped 31.5 million dollars, 11 million more than in 1924. Public tennis courts swimming pools and golf courses numbers grew with 7 186 courts 933 pools and 26 courses in use.
