Former Local Woman Killed in Auto Crash
Mrs E B Nardin formerly of this city and wife of E B Nardin superintendent of the Government Indian school here died after an auto crash seven miles north of Pontiac Friday evening. The car driven by her brother W A Butcher was forced into a truck loaded with metal owned by Inter City Trucking Service Inc of Detroit. The truck skidded through a guard fence, stopping near a swamp edge. John Teaver of Detroit drove the truck and was uninjured. Witnesses were interviewed by county sheriff staff.

Dr Frank R Loomis acquitted last year of murdering his wife Grace Burns Loomis died by gas in his office after leaving a note asking the police to be patient about a future newspaper report. In Bay City on May 19, Judge Samuel G. Houghton sentenced Lawrence Phillips, 28, under the habitual criminal act to life imprisonment. Phillips had prior felonies including safe breaking in Jay City, making the third life term under 1927 Michigan law to be handed down in the state.
