Tunnel Blast Injures Nine Workers In Bronx
A dynamite blast in a tunnel 600 feet underground in the Bronx injures nine workers, with two in critical condition. The tunnel carries water lines connecting the Ashokan dam to Long Island. Arrest two on bad axe kidnapping case
Detroit reports two Sanilac county farmers Jacob Ogden and Ervin Ogden were held on kidnapping suspicions in the Wednesday night abduction of Detroit mother Elsie Mills. Mills, bound to her car wheel, escaped during a drive to a Bad Axe area joint. Sheriff L C Hagle arranged the arrest after tips from Huron county officers. Mills will view the suspects and identify two of three perpetrators. the brothers deny involvement, claiming they were not in Detroit that day.
