Jefferson City Mo March 27 mutiny at the 100 year old Missouri State Prison intensified as guards and inmates clashed in the courtyard with clubs and tear gas. Dozens were hospitalized and extra guards with machine guns stood watch after the riot began in the mess hall. A prisoner was stabbed during the fighting and authorities feared weapons might be used.
