Woman killed as dry agents raid home in Aurora

George Mead, a reputed Mt Pleasant bootlegger, was arrested at midnight Saturday and arraigned before Justice Wardrop. He was bound over to circuit court on charges of possession and sale of intoxicating liquors. His bond of 42 000 was unfurnished. Authorities say he sold liquor to workers and even to students. Henry Cota, known as Toe Tito, was arrested New Year’s Eve and later jailed in Jackson prison. Owen Arbaugh was arrested for drunken driving and transporting intoxicating liquor. his bond status was not clear.
