Lansing March 17 A new deficit item of 500000 was announced to the state administrative board by George R Thompson budget director. The over drawn fund pays for care at Hloise hospital operated by Wayne county. Legislature failed in 1929 to set up a sufficient appropriation. The board also reviewed 12000 for the state tax commission and 2000 for the state board of canvassers. The total deficiency appropriation would rise to 6587000 for the next biennium. The committee was told to address a dispute over payment for women prisoners at the Detroit house of correction. The state seeks 150 per day per prisoner, not 100 under the existing contract.
