A. A. MacDonell, salesman for J. F. Battle Motor Sales, was badly injured when his car hit a heavy snow drift on M-20 three miles east of town. He was taken to Brandsteder hospital for treatment after the dash door injury to his hand. He cannot recall the exact cause beyond believing his hand was caught in the door as the car plowed into the drift. This was the first accident report from the weekend storm.

Funeral services were held at the Stinson chapel for Marshall H. Smith 25 who died Friday evening from diabetes attack. Rev C W Mackenzie led the service. He was a Mt Pleasant High School 1925 graduate and a noted football athlete. He spent a summer as a hermit in Northern Michigan to improve health and worked at Club Recreation for about three years.
