Drilling reports indicate five wells in the field west of the central pool should be brought in late this week or early next. The Marthey No 2 and the Cale No 2 in the Leaton pit drill between the Mar aaill and Dundee sands and have gas in the Marshall. Producers include New York Petroleum Royalty for Marthey and Cole Gibson Johnson Borden Mellon Pollock House and Crowley in Vernon township. Carmichael is drilling past 3000 feet. No completions in the main field are scheduled this week.

He said many people feel poorer by thousands of dollars on paper but are as well off as before the stock market upset and are buying less and curtailing expenses. He cited low money rates reduced inventories and low rates as factors that should lift exports and building and spur business.
