Tornado Kills Nine in Minnesota and Wisconsin Rampage
A tornado tore across Minnesota and Wisconsin last night killing at least nine people and injuring more than 50. The storm damaged farms and buildings over a wide 200 mile path from southern Minnesota to northern Wisconsin, cutting communications and power lines while clubs and districts near Minneapolis were spared.

Man to Life for Habitual Offender Hangs in Jail
Muskegon April 6 ALEX ZACK the first man sentenced under Michigan’s amended habitual criminal code hanged himself in his jail cell using clothes line obtained during a visit with his seven children. Man Slips From Jackson Prison After Escape Attempt
Sylvester Nowakowski, 30, of Michigan, sawed through a six inch cell ceiling and climbed onto the slate roof to escape from Jackson prison. His bladed exit led to disciplinary actions and the loss of a facility post attendant’s son as punishment.
