Seven Mt Dora residents win in golf club contest
Mt Dora Golf Club announces a $1000 prize and a Scotland trip for seven residents who scored holes in one. Winners include A D Elabarger Walter Gray Arn Old Haynes Tom Kelly Eric Herbert Son Mrs Louise Will Marth and John Gardner Zellwood. The winner will be named early next year. Francis Seabrook, son of Mr and Mrs William Seabrook Sr, is promoted to captain in the U S Air Force at Fuchu Japan. He is a 1960 Umatilla High School graduate with a 1965 Florida university degree. Kathleen Seabrook is his wife. Samuel Lee Brittain of Mount Dora enlisted in the Navy and is undergoing ten weeks of recruit training at Naval Training Center Orlando after Bates High School graduation.

United Appeal drives off to strong start in 1969 campaign
