Around the World Cruise Ends Aboard the Australis
Mrs. Arthur R. Jewell of Mount Dora writes her final Topic letter after a three month voyage on the S. S. Australis. She recalls Tahiti, the Panama Canal transit, and disembarkation at Port Everglades while noting 25,211 miles traveled and a wartime history of the ship renamed Westpoint and later Australis. She describes ship life, crews from India and Greece, activities aboard, and fond memories of captain and staff as she looks forward to home.
